• Proofing Midagraphics’ proofing encompasses extra process colors, such as Orange,      Green & Violet used in Extended Gamut printing. Extended gamut process      work and spot colors are matched in the profiling stage. Print buyers      stand to benefit from increased color range and printers enjoy the      efficiency of a fixed color palette.

  Food Packaging    For 20 years Midagraphics has specialized in the Food Packaging Industry. From small sugar packets on waxed paper substrates to Shake Powder Bags on film, you can be sure whatever your substrate, we will adjust your images to print consistently.

Spot Color Conversion   There are times when you just need to have more colors. We pride ourselves in our ability to swap out a process color for a spot color and still maintain your image as it was intended, all while giving you that brand color that is a must-have.

Grey Component Replacement (GCR)

Grey Component Replacement or GCR, is a technique used to help the printing process. This is done by replacing black for gray values normally made up from Yellow, Magenta and Cyan. This not only helps with the cost of printing but it also help brighten colors on less grade papers and also helps with consistency in the print.

Folding Cartons   Direct print onto 15 pt. SBS. Print on transfer material and laminate to CCNB, foil boards, holographc & chipboards. ContourCut and PerfCutContour up to 12  pt. board

Flexible Packages  Direct print onto clear poly, white poly, clear LDPE, metallized poly, white metallized poly and alluminum foil. Print on transfer material and laminate to most flexible structures.

Labels and Shrink Wraps   Print & ContourCut labels for micro production runs or mock-ups. Direct print on clear and white shrink film.

Standup Pouches  Direct print onto clear poly, white poly, clear LDPE, metallized poly, white metallized poly and aluminum foil. Print on transfer material and laminate to most flexible structures. Adding your zippers and seals as needed.

Point of Purchase (POP) Displays

Point of Purchase (POP) Displays – We partner with other suppliers to create your displays along with your mockups to give you a one stop shop.

MiColor Spot Color Development   New products ordinarily need new spot colors. Those colors are paramount to successful marketing. Midagraphics offers the opportunity to develop effective colors and provides a means for consistent color reproduction across the supply chain. 

Unique Color Choice Most turn to the Pantone color library when it comes to packaging design. As a result, color creativity is limited and many common colors are displayed on store shelves. MiColor gives you freedom to develop your own unique special colors and set your brand apart. 

Color Communications  Typically Brand managers deal with a lengthy supply chain. They may need flexible packaging, cartons, labels, POP displays, etc. —all produced by different printing processes and companies. This presents a challenge keeping spot colors consistent. 

When Midagraphics develops a color, we capture all characteristics necessary for reproduction regardless of whether the end process is flexo, gravure, offset, or digital. MiColor uses a completely open file format that includes overprint, substrate, solid and screen tint data. As a Brand manager you simply supply this file to your vendors and they have what’s needed for consistent spot color reproduction. 

Designing with your Brand Color Currently importing spot colors created with MiColor into Illustrator is accomplished through an affordable plug-in. In the near future we will be able to supply .ase (Adobe Swatch Exchange) files that do not require any plug-in. 

Midagraphics will automatically embed spot colors created with MiColor into PDF’s for later processing.
